The past year has seen ODs lighting up playing
fields across the world. These pages are dedicated
to our 2024 Olympians and the ever-increasing
number of stars in the making at the Stormers
We have a medallist: Tristan Leyds (2015S). The Springbok Sevens team defied
expectations at the Paris Olympics, beating Australia to take bronze at Stade
de France on 27 July 2024. Tristan (right, and crouching centre above) featured
prominently in the match. He was also a member of the Blitzboks team that
won the Cape Town leg of the World Rugby sevens series in December.
