There has been an extraordinary surge in ODU events in the past year,
from book launches and art exhibitions to architecture talks and our
inaugural padel day. But the highlights remain the annual dinners
CAPE TOWN DINNER, KELVIN GROVE
Gathering on the lawns of Kelvin Grove at sunset before
moving to the ballroom, our annual dinner once again
brought together ODs from across the generations to
enjoy a full and convivial house. MC Brandon de Kock
(1986K) set the tone, Father Monwabisi Peter offered
the blessing, Judge Craig Howie (1956G) proposed the loyal
toast, Chris Haw (1999F) brought news from the council,
and guest speaker Oscar Chalupsky spoke movingly about
resilience and resolve. An auction, and celebratory drinks,
rounded off a fine evening.

we had a full house in the ballroom.
