ON THE COVER
For Issue 12, we broke from our convention of featuring an artwork of
The Mitre, instead honouring the Memorial Chapel in its centennial year.
“With this unusual perspective, I also wanted to reflect on the Brooke
Chapel that came before it,” explains artist Tom Cartwright (1988K).
“The traditional inclusive Christian values of the school passed on
in these buildings to generations of pupils helped me feel at home at
Bishops as an eccentric youth – and even to find like-minded oddballs
for a lifetime of friendship. For that, I am enduringly grateful.”
