SEVENS ACTION
Following last year’s inaugural ODU
Interschools Alumni 7s rugby festival,
the second edition took place on
the Lutgensvale fields in August.
It was, according to the man with
the clipboard, WP van Zyl, another
great success, with an increase in
the number of OD teams, in other
alumni teams, in spectator numbers
and in general good times. “As can be
expected from a festival of this nature,
there was determination and resilience
– and perseverance through pain! –
as well as skills, speed and flair on
display,” said WP. Congratulations to
new entrants and tournament winners,
Michaelhouse Old Boys.

FOUNDER’S DAY
Founder’s Day, on 6 March, was once again filled with a wide range of activities,
including the Avenue Mile, golf, cricket, water polo, basketball, hockey, tennis and shooting.
After-match analysis then took place over a fine supply of refreshments at The Mitre.
